Symposiums
Christians who desire to share their faith with their Mormon friends and loved ones are encouraged to attend a Compassionate Boldness Symposium, featuring the team-teaching of Mormonism Research Ministry's Bill McKeever and Eric Johnson. Bill and Eric are co-authors of Mormonism 101 who together, offer over 60 years of experience sharing the Christian faith with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Compassionate Boldness Symposium, sponsored by MRM, is a four-hour learning experience that will help you understand the differences that have separated Mormonism from Christianity. In this class we will address the following questions:
- What issues have prevented the LDS Church from acceptance into the Christian fold.
- Who is Joseph Smith? Did he meet the biblical requirements of a true prophet of God?
- Did Christianity really succumb to a "complete Apostasy"?
- Are our Bibles "translated correctly"?
- Is the God of Mormonism the God of biblical Christianity?
- Why is the Book of Mormon so special to Mormons. Did it originate from an ancient text?
- Is the gospel of Mormonism really Good News? What must Mormons do if they hope to receive the best their religion has to offer?
- How should we respond to biblical "proof-texts" that Mormons often use to justify what they believe?
Come learn how to use this information in a practical and Christ-honoring way to tell your Mormon friends about the hope that is within you — the hope that can be theirs as well.
